Can I sell a demand letter on Etsy?
Yes — as a personal-use template you wrote, not as legal advice. Word plus PDF. Brackets a tired person can find. A line that says you are not their attorney. No court seal. No “guaranteed to win.” File it as a letter kit, not as a wedding invite.
People search for a demand letter when money is already late. They will buy a clear template the same afternoon. They will also report a listing that pretends to be a lawyer. This is not a wedding suite with sterner type.
What you may sell
A letter you wrote. US Letter or A4 — list the size that is in the zip. A filled example with fictional names, marked SAMPLE. Brackets: [amount], [date], [address]. Instant download. A sentence: this is not legal advice and was not written by an attorney.
Security deposit, unpaid invoice, contractor, and loan are honest jobs. Name the job in the title. “Professional Business Bundle” is not a job.
What you may not sell
A court seal you do not have. A statute copied from a blog and sold as current law. A threat of criminal charges the buyer cannot make. “Attorney-drafted” if you are not that attorney. Canva covers with marble and a gavel. Stock photos of lawyers. Advice about a specific case — you are selling a file, not a consultation.
Price and tone
$9–$16 for a focused kit. An eight-letter pack can hold $12–$18. You are selling an afternoon of writing, not a firm. The description should sound like a clerk, not a billboard.
