How to write a wedding invitation title for Etsy

Lead with the product, not the file type. “Wedding invitation” or “wedding invite” in the first words. “Instant download” can wait. A phone shows about forty characters. If those are “Beautiful Unique Digital,” nobody finds the card.

A title is not a mood board. It is the one line search uses and the one line a tired couple reads in a square. Most invitation titles on Etsy waste that line on adjectives the algorithm does not rank and the buyer does not type.

What belongs in the first words

People type wedding invitation, wedding invite, printable invite. They do not type unique digital download beautiful suite. Put the searchable noun first. Style (minimalist, modern, black and cream) comes next. Size and “instant download” can sit later, or in the first lines of the description.

Etsy’s title field allows 140 characters. You do not need all of them. A clean 70-character title that a person can finish in one breath beats a stuffed 140 that repeats “printable” three times.

What to leave out

The couple’s real names — buyers order the names they see. “Canva” unless the zip has a working template. “Luxury” and “elegant” as the opening words. A shop name. A year, unless you sell a dated collection that will rot in March.

A shape that works

Product + format + style + pieces. Wedding invitation printable suite, modern cream, RSVP and details card. That is a sentence a stationer would say out loud. If you cannot say the title without grimacing, rewrite it.

Then score the draft. The rubric on this site looks for those first words on purpose.
