How to write a save-the-date title for Etsy
Start with “save the date.” Not “digital download,” not “minimalist announcement,” not the couple’s first names. The date is the product. If the first forty characters do not contain those three words, the listing is hiding.
Save-the-date titles fail in a smaller way than invitation titles. There is only one object. Sellers still open with a style word and bury the search phrase after a hyphen nobody reads on a phone.
The line people type
Save the date is the query. Wedding date card and wedding announcement are cousins. “Engagement card” is a different object — use it only if the file is truly that. Do not open with Digital Download Minimalist and hope the rest of the 140 characters do the work.
What follows
Printable card. 5×7. Instant download, later in the title or in the description. One style word if it is true (minimalist, modern, cream). That is enough. You do not need “suite” unless the zip has more than one card.
Leave the sample names out of the title. Avery and Jonah belong on the photo, marked SAMPLE, not in the search line. A year in the title dates the listing; put the year on the card face instead.
After the title
The first photograph must show a readable date inside the square. A perfect title cannot rescue a crop that takes 2026 off the bottom edge. Score the draft if you want both checked.
