Can I sell a minimalist wedding invite on Etsy?

Yes — if the type is yours and the listing looks like paper, not a beige Canva moodboard. “Minimalist” is a style word. It belongs after “wedding invitation.” A thin roman on cream still needs a 2000×2000 photo that keeps the names.

Minimalist is the most crowded honest style in digital wedding paper. That is not a reason to avoid it. It is a reason to stop opening the title with the style and to stop photographing the card as a texture.

What minimalist has to do

The names must read at thumbnail size. If the type is hairline and the cream is the same cream as Etsy’s background, the card disappears. Contrast is not a betrayal of the style. Black and cream is allowed to be black.

You still need the rights to the font. A free font with a “no digital embedding” clause is not free for a file you sell. You still mark SAMPLE. You still say instant download.

How to list it

Title: wedding invitation first, minimalist second, then the pieces (RSVP, details). Tags: one style tag, not five. Photos: card smaller than the square, cream margin, no eucalyptus branch stolen from a stock table unless you shot it.

Price like a suite if it is a suite ($18–$28 when the type is set). Price like a single card if it is a single card ($8–$14). A $49 four-PDF “luxury minimal” listing needs a reason a careful buyer will believe.

The scorer

Paste the draft. If the first words are “Minimalist unique digital,” expect a low score. That is the point.
